We wish we had a place like this! Many charming details.
Especially we loved - the view, the kayak and the fireplace. The only thing missing is a hot tub. :)
We wish you much happiness here.

Thank you for sharing your lovely lake house with us Lori and Clay. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay. Aside from taking a drive around the area, we basically stayed home, fishing, boating, and simply enjoying the view. It was real quiet and quite comfortable. The weather was just perfect too. The porch was a perfect place to sit by the water and chat the night away. A short trip, but a much needed one. Thanks again. It was an absolute joy.

My wife and I had a great time. Our first vacation in several years and Abby's Lake House is the perfect spot for us to getaway and relax. Everything you need is right here. Well stocked, great relaxing atmosphere, excellent fishing. Just what the doctor ordered. We look forward to returning in the near future.

We had a really good time at Abby's Lake House! Lori and Clay did an excellent job with the house. We enjoyed the lake and the cozy surroundings! Everything was fully stocked so we didn't even have to eat out. We will definitely be back again and I would recommend this place to all my friends and family! Thanks again Lori, for staying up to give my friends' direction to the house when they got lost.

We had a fantastic time. Thank you for sharing your peaceful getaway with us. It was exactly what we all needed. A perfectly cozy house. Beautiful gardens, lots of fun activities on the lake. Dining under the pergola and total enjoyment had by all of us. We decided to come here to celebrate our birthdays - there are 4 of us... and grandbaby's first vacation! And we couldn't have found a more perfect place.

Thank you for a wonderful vacation. Your lake house made us feel right at home. Bright, clean and cozy. Very thoughtfully decorated, stocked with everything we needed. We had a great weather all week, possibly the hottest temps in years (in the 90s each day!). We brought along 3 of our kayaks and spent many hours on the lake. The fishing was great, even off the dock. It's such a quiet lake, just a beautiful setting! We loved the pergola. It provided lots of shade and we ate many meals out there. We went to Bingham's for dinner. We highly recommend it, delicious food! We'd love to come back some day!

Thanks for sharing your lake house with us. We loved your great kitchen area, perfect for cooking everything right at your fingertips. We ran into a perfect week weather wise and were able to enjoy the lake and dock for fishing. We also went to snow mountain Water Park as well as Camel Beach water park. I would suggest either for a great family time! Also we enjoyed going to the Cinemark Theatre, next to the Shoppes at Montage in Moosic, PA. Great movie experience there! Xtreme 3D Theatre as well as others. My kids and myself also enjoyed the Cold Stone Creamery thaw nearby there also. All in all, great vacation! Marvelous House.
PS. Great Flowers and Plants about too. I watered for you.
Thanks!

Had a good time fishing on the lake all week. Tuesday night I caught 31 fish (not exaggerated). On the last night of fishing (Thursday night) for the first time in Acre Lake caught a catfish (15inches)! And two calico. During the week my brother and I rode around in his truck to check out the nice scenery here in PA. with amazing mountain views. Also seen some chickens down the road in a pen. As well as a bull in the field. We'll see you next year, as this place now is our vacation getaway from now on.

Thanks for sharing your lovely home. We had a good week - perfect weather. I spent much of my time reading while sitting under the pergola, a new word I learned - never too old to learn something new!

First and foremost I followed your lake rules "Relax, Relax, Relax" and I did "not poke the bear".
Everything was lovely! I couldn't have asked for more. I also followed the instructions on your chair... couch potato. Honestly, it was an amazing place to stay during my break from Binghamton High School.
I shall spread the word of your place to friends. I have a home on Quaker Lake, Brackney, PA. Several people I know want to rent. I shall steer them this way.
As for prospective renters, Abby's is wonderful! Everything you need...kitchen utensils, etc are numerous. I would highly recommend Abby's Lake House to ANYONE! I shall return as well.
Thanks for everything!

We had a very fun time here! It was nice to come back to a cozy little house! The beds were so comfy. We walked on the lake then we saw cracks and ran off. The first day it was cold but the house was warm.

We had a great time here! We spent a lot of time skiing, even though Saturday's weather wasn't great. This house was perfect to come back to after a long day of skiing. We tried to walk on the frozen lake, carefully, of course, but quickly realized that wasn't a great idea. Well I fell through, but just a little, but it was still hilarious. We loved this house and had so much fun this weekend. We would all love to come back!

We had a great time skiing at Elk but most of all we had a nice place to stay. It was brutally cold this weekend. One day we work up and took a painful look at the thermometer -6F. Yeh, that's cold. We had great snow. Not only did we have fun on the mountain, there are lots of fun games to play (my favorite game was "Outburst!".

Our first time at Abby's Lake House... but not our last!
We spent the day at Elk. First time skiing for our 5 year old. It was cold but she is ready to go again. Our last day we spent by the fire and the kids enjoyed the PS2. We hope to make another trip this winter. But if we can't squeeze in another ski trip we will be back in the summer. The house is wonderful. Happy New Year!

Beautiful fall weather, fishing, good food and a canoe to boot. Fishing off the dock was a real success. I even got in the canoe and made it back without tipping the canoe (success).
Great home with all the amenities! Only thing it needs is an ottoman for the tv area and shades on the side window by the daybed.
Pergola area is a fun place to play cards and games.
Hope to come back again for some relaxation and fishing.

We were looking for a place to get away and relax for a few days. We made a great choice in Abby's Lake House! The house is beautiful and fully stocked - which came in handy. The fishing was excellent. Our first evening here, we caught about 15 fish - bass, perch, sunnies, blue gills and even 2 catfish. Wednesday we took the canoe out and took a tour of the lake. A little windy but sunny. Went fishing (off the dock) and caught another 15 or so. Had a delicious fish dinner! Thursday we drove around and visited some of the little towns in the area. And, of course, more fishing!
It was a short vacation for us but a great one. Thank you, Lori and Clay for opening up your home to us.

We had soo much fun at Abby's Lake House! We went fishing, canoeing, swimming and so much more. My brother and my mom caught tons of fish. I didn't fish all that much so I caught zero fish. My dad tipped in the canoe twice. We made a fire and roasted marshmallows 3 times. No matter what we were doing at Abby's Lake House, we were always having fun!

August 21 -August 28, 2010

This week was very fun to stay at Abby's Lake House. I enjoyed fishing, kayaking, going on fun trips, lazing around, and just having fun. Will, dad and I did not catch anything when fishing but we still had fun. We went to Steamtown one day. We got a ride on the train. We walked around the museum and went to the Steamtown Mall. Then we walked to the Cooper's (a fish place) for dinner. We also tried to go to Salt Springs State park but it rained. We also went to Rails-to-Trails by the viaduct. It was so bumpy and hard to ride. Will fell off his bike, so we went back to the car. We went to Lackawanna State Park. It was sunny and a good day to take a hike. We decided to take the Orchard Trail. We took our dog, Porter. He had a lot of fun. The whole family did. On our last day we wanted to do something really fun. The family decided to do the coal mine tour. We got there just in time. We got the last tour of the day. Our guide was named Kyle. He told us all about the mine and its workers. On our way out of our tour we got front row seats. Going out we walked over to the gift shop. I picked out a big blue geode. Will picked out a bunch of rocks. We drove to Mazar's Bridgeview Restaurant. We had fun out at dinner. But no trains went by on the viaduct. The rest of the week we did stuff around the house. One thing we learned was how to play Racko. So over all, as you can see we had a good week at Abby's Lake House.
See ya.
